Not a topic I want to contemplate, but time marches on. A .22LR to the knee will hinder a bad guy.

But his 9mm can still harm you. Most likely you would miss knee cap.

The Beretta .32 Tomcat with tilt barrel good choice for those that have trouble pulling the slide back. They also make a .22 version , the Bobcat.

Plenty of good 9mm rounds that are capable and not kick like a mule. A much better option than a .22 IMO.
