Andrew was also Music Director of the musical Love, Janis, based on the life of Janis Joplin. He died on February 12, 2015, following complications from open-heart surgery due to a heart attack suffered ten weeks prior."

SGT (Join to see), Janis' drink of choice was Southern Comfort. She often would have a bottle on the stage with her, generally located at the base of her microphone.
Don’t know if you have ever tasted that stuff, but it’s awful! I don’t even really drink hard liquor anymore anyway, but Southern Comfort is a sickeningly sweet liqueur that I just won’t drink no matter what!

When I was “A” School, I got very drunk and sick on Southern Comfort under the Jacksonville River bridge. To this day I have not even been able to handle even the smell of that stuff. LOL
