I disagree. The concentration camps in Germany during World War 2 were built and used for one reason, and one reason only, the extermination of an entire race. They contained gas chambers and human ovens where people were murdered by the millions. No matter how bad the conditions may be at some of our border detention centers, they do not even compare this.

First great article. Apparently we were made of “sterner stuff” in the 50’s and 60’s as we (middle school age) were shown captured explicit German military films showing the military's involvement in the holocaust; executions, gas chamber results, train transports crammed full of people, people pulled into the street, and so on. No actors, no pixilation. Germans were very good at documenting their atrocities; they documented everything.

Now AOC is entitled to her opinion (uneducated in “my” opinion). She is free to speak it. For a major entity to rationalize her opinion via a national response, speaks volumes as to either their ignorance or an ulterior motive. I’m going with ulterior motive, which appears to be politics. That’s “my” opinion, which I’m entitled to.

1. AOC herself is claiming she wasn't comparing the two. Funny how people still find ways to excuse it, even if she were (which she obviously was). For her to deny it after the fact and back-peddle, demonstrates the fact she knows she overstepped.

2. This quote from the article "Liz Cheney and others who have denounced Ocasio-Cortez’s word choice claim concern for “real” victims of history’s abominable acts have been curiously quiet in the past several years as Jews rang the alarm about an increase in anti-Semitic rhetoric and actions, as we were harassed online with photos of ovens and worse, and as bomb threats were called into Jewish community centers." is complete crap. These act have been condemned by Cheney.
