I love watching different survival shows on tv, but little of what I watch and practice would go very far under the conditions these boys are enduring.

SA Jim Arnold building a fire with a bow drill is not good, when the smoke and fire is the last thing you want to be seen, I concur.

PO3 you men getting supply's like this airdrop to us at a SOF VSP outpost in 2012, in the bad lands. This was one of the many supply drops at this site in middle of bad guy country.

SFC George Smith unless it was a photographer who was not a part of the combat team. Civilian for example. I agree though, shoot the people trying to kill you first, pictures later. I certainly would not want to be in a firefight armed only with a camera.

PO3 Steven Sherrill - Combat Camera is trained to do that, and their job is to take photos of combat action, how do you think we see all the photos of SOF guy's going through Doors, it is Combat Camera. The purpose is history, Intel, after action Intel and to help in a cease of war crime or to defend in that case. These guy's go through tough training and part of that is doing there job recording combat history. These are not the same as PAO, they are trained for combat.

When a Marine Corps helicopter crashed during earthquake relief operations in Nepal in May, two combat camera Marines were among the 13 dead.

CPO (Join to see) - yeah, that has to be a tough sell. We want to train you to go into combat, to face the enemy, to be courageous under fire, oh yeah, and to carry a 35mm instead of a 5.56MM.
