One item, I think, that is wrong about this article - A weekly COMMEX? At the level described, that takes a lot of resources, and on a weekly basis no less. Skills may decline over time, but I still think that I would get a GO on any infantry related communications task, except maybe the use of the fill device since that has probably changed multiple times since I have done it.
