Pretty solid list, but I think my favorite is "#5) They don’t realize that self-knowledge is the single most important component in a job search." This is something I should have done before I got out the first time around.

One of the best articles I have read on RP. All I would add is not many can afford the time and expense of an MBA. You can rise to middle management without one, but if your goal is top management, it is crucial.

I just ets'd in September 2016 and I'm having a very hard time adjusting to everything. Finding a job is hard. I didn't want to ets but because my female commander "doesn't like people like me" (no one knew what she meant by that) she forced me to have to ets and I was in no way prepared for anything and I'm quickly falling behind. I'm also a single parent of two kids. No one showed me the ropes on getting out and I had to just wing it and hoped I got everything right which I didn't because some how I lost out of medical and various other things.
