This is also a VERY GOOD ARGUMENT as to why maintaining a 3-4% GDP Growth rate is far more intelligent than a 1.5% GDP Growth rate. Displaced workers can find new employment quicker, generally with employers picking up the retraining tab.

This is still a long ways off. At least 20-30 years away if that for white collar workers. Presumption also is we do not have a global war before that...........which would set us back further with the timeline. Replacement of Blue Collar workers began in the 1980's with General Motors replacing assembly line workers with robots. Yes the number of assembly line workers decreased but they easily found work elsewhere and we did not have the Media attempting to scare us with factory automation back then. Even though factory automation in the 1980-1990's was on a much larger scale than is happening now.
