LTC (Join to see) When you are starving, there is no strong government, and no relief in sight, it is not surprising that they are persistent. They literally have nothing to lose. Even if they are killed, they are better off with the quick death than slowing starving, or worse watching their family starve first. I am not saying it is right, but it is understandable.

A lot of the problems in Africa can be directly attributed to the Europeans. From the establishment of the countries whose borders broke up the historical tribal boundaries to the abandonment without any form of government which lead to anarchy and some of the worse genocide we've see in the world.

I don't blame them for trying to make a living.

LTC (Join to see) - African Tribes like Native American Tribes, and even ancient European Tribes were nomadic. It is only the advent of agriculture that caused mankind to settle down. And we have been screwing the world up since.

PO3 Steven Sherrill - From what I have read, most of the tribes in Africa had carved out/laid claim to specific areas and neighbors generally respected those boundaries though there were periodic disputes. When the Europeans created a "country" whose border included two or more tribes, those tribes were then pitted against one another for domination and control. a bloody mess.
