Thank you my friend CW5 Jack Cardwell for reminding us that in August 1968 Led Zeppelin held its first rehearsal. Jimmy Page was the lead guitarist for the Yardbirds when they broke up. He formed the New Yardbirds and then they changed their name to Led Zeppelin that summer of 1968.
