Our relationship with the Turks on Incirlik AB have always been sort of sketchy. The Turks have always tracked every plane we flew in and insisted that none remain longer than 30 days regardless of maintenance status which has led to some amusing situations with tail swaps. All the dependents are out of Turkey now...it is no longer an accompanied tour and the majority of Americans assigned to Turkey outside of diplomatic staff are military. They would have a tough time taking control of those weapons without a major incident.

No threat to the Trump Towers in Istanbul... And as long as there are Trump properties in Turkey, Turkey need not fear any action from the United States while Trump is in office.
