Former US Marine Jailed in Russia on Spying Charges Loses Job

Director of Global Security gets rick-rolled by the FSB.
Not exactly rocket science that he might not have credibility and is now a liability for his employer.

He traveled to Russia on his own not via Company Business and probably not via Company knowledge. The Company has no obligation to extend employment indefinitely for what amounts to a new employee that just hired on with them in 2017 that gets in trouble overseas (weather the trouble is real or made up). I can totally see the Company's point here. Not a Company issue, totally a State Department and Individual issue. Also, the company could hire him back in a new position after release. I can understand why they do not want to carry him on the books.
