More precious than gold: Why palladium is soaring

Why anyone thinks electric cars are better environmentally than internal combustion cars, I'll never understand. They must not understand ecology, geology or climate change in any way.

The real issue is that environmental regulations make it difficult to mine elements like palladium - a byproduct of gold mines - in a way that sorts them from the ore. This has led countries that don't have such regulations to corner the market.

Excellent share PO1 Tony Holland Obviously we need a substitute for this but I will bet there are junk cars sitting out there with converters and other parts which still haven't been scavenged.
