CSM Charles Hayden- Yes I have, my unit made some large movements in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, and as I was watching the Chinooks coming into the LZ,thought those rascals make one hell of a target, and share the flight characteristics of it’s smaller brethren the Huey namely a Brick!

SGT Philip Roncari A dark night’s flight to San Clemente Island in a Marine Chopper from USMC El Toro was interesting. The SGM sitting next to me made multiple, small puffs of air into his Mae West. When the crew chief came to collect the Mae Wests upon arrival, that SGM was very busy dis-inflating his Mae West!
