People have the right to peaceful assembly...so much for our Bill of Rights when it is inconvenient for the government

The government seems happy to violate its own rules.

It was NOT peaceful. They taunted police and tried to disrupt traffic (what little there was).
They did NOT follow social distancing guidelines. Many did not have masks and most were within a foot of others if not actually touching.

Are you familiar with the 9th amendment, or does your understanding of the constitution stop at 2?

Here's the thing... it's easy to cherish something until you have to trade something equally precious to keep it. No "sane" person wants to ignore the fact that if this thing is what they claim it to be... lives are at risk. Equally, no rational person wants to trade their "right" to go to Wal-Mart for the life of even one senior citizen or doctor. However, someone's always going to be "at risk", and freedom is always going to go hand in hand with uncertainty. I think many people, and not just our leaders or recognized experts, "overreacted" in some ways to this crisis. The result of that overreaction is counter-reaction. People want to be heard rather than herded.

People can wear masks and remain 6' apart in most businesses. Yet many states are shutting down most businesses.

And yet when they protest, they pack themselves together. If the idiots can't space themselves out during the protest, what makes you think that they'll do it in businesses?

Capt Gregory Prickett - That is a valid question and a lot of these public protest haven't helped the health issues. There is no shortage of people with views one way or the other that get so wrapped up in that everything else takes a backstage. I don't have a prediction what is going to happen but I'm worried and although some measures were needed a lot of places have gone too far esp putting people out of work completely and destroying many businesses. Not that I enjoy wearing a mask and social distancing, no one does but I still do what I have to do.

Founding fathers gave us liberty overcoming a small pox epidemic! Now some are willing to give it up for another virus epidemic. Tyranny can arise under the guise of any condition and usually under the most difficult circumstances. Power and Control is always a threat thus Don’t Tread On Me.

SFC John Lich CW5 Jack Cardwell Again, it was pounded into the heads of the public to wear masks and stay 6' apart, which can be done in MOST businesses. So why are some states shuttering MOST businesses. ??? And long enough to break a large number of the smaller ones.
Me thinks there's some insurgent plan afoot to bring down the USA by severely weakening it! We saw that this almost succeeded with bringing down our duly-elected President and that was from domestic enemies!

Sgt (Join to see) - That also My concern, exactly what you have mentioned here. This cannot be allowed to happen, this a so blatant and apparent a move along with the demonstrations to insert a Marxist Socialist system and tear apart our economy it hard to believe people are stupid enough to fall for it, but they are. Health Precautions is one thing but attempts to break down our government system and the economy quite another.
