This Marine exemplifies what we all strive to emulate... Self-sacrifice for our brothers in arms... Those we fight with together, against any enemy, have one thing in common... We ALL want to come home. This Marine was able to do so and in the process, was able to ensure that those that fell before him, were able to return home as well... He left no one (soldier, Afghan, Marine) and is an inspiration to soldiers sailors, airmen, and Marines. I for one, as a combat veteran myself, would consider it a priviledge to have him here on RP... Considering the fact that I am a Marine, I feel as though we have served together, if not in person, then certainly in Spirit. Semper Fi!

Short answer is yes, they match. Of course the book going into more detail about the battle and Sgt Meyer's actions. It also builds on his relationship with his teammates before the battle, which explains why he feels like he has failed. He says in his book that he was being awarded the Medal of Honor for his failure.

Got that sir, I believe that during the call for help, was not as quick as expected, do you feel he might have some resentment towards the army due to the delay from the call he made for air support ?

<p>SSG P, excellent idea, I think he would make a wonderful addition to the RP network, he's a positive example for all to follow.&nbsp;Additionally, he has a verified Twitter account that may be helpful as well (for those on Twitter feel to follow... but please do refrain from sending any direct messages, as we don't want to inundate&nbsp;with message traffic); SSG P and SGT&nbsp;Le will take the lead&nbsp;to contact...&nbsp;Best of luck, if I can be of any assistance at all, please don't hesitate to contact me at any time. SGT Le, great ideas, I was thinking along the same lines of perhaps an admin to send an invite, but even better if you are willing to approach SGT to Sgt... also, there's probably no real "sales" necessary as the network pretty much sells itself... although, you could probably include a published article on RallyPoint that would show that this is a reputable and valuable network. There's a variety of articles out there, attached below is among the relatively recent articles on RP and the future direction of the network. Thanks for your help, good luck, and if you need anything please don't hesitate. http://www.bizjournals.com/boston/blog/startups/2014/01/rallypoint-linkedin-for-the-military.html?page=all

Ok taking SGT Le advice I present myself in his tweeter and posted the rally point link on his other FB profile to invite Service members and veterans into RP. As per Maj. Burns advice.

It's just a waiting game now. :)

Definitely a great idea. It would be great to get some insight from our living MoH recipients especially the current ones.
