All too often we have power trippers and gun happy guys get in to law enforcement.
The reasons they want in are obvious. What is not obvious is why they don't get weeded out in the academy or early in their training.

Two questions: (1) Granted you honestly admit to this and avoid speculation as far as possible, but wouldn't it be better to formally discuss this event after all the evidence is in? (2) I would love to hear your opinions regarding the Texas Rangers. From all that I've heard and read, they are almost superhuman. Am I too far misled?
