I remember reading about “The Hump” in elementary school. The effort to help China was a huge task, and these pilots were real heroes. I salute everyone of them for their bravery.

Interesting facts. I flew in many a "Goony Bird" during my time in the A.F. It was a most reliable plane and we were told it was truly the only plane to succeed in flying the hump.
