6 Dumb Things I Thought Were True About the Military Before I Joined

Airman "we all fly". I taught a class with a student who was Navy. He never got on a ship. He then went Air Force to fly. He never got to fly unless it was commercial. He then joined the Coast Guard as a electronics specialist thinking a nice 9 to 5 job. Instead he was assigned to a position on a C-130. Then shortly after a large cutter. After 4 years Navy, 4 years Air Force, he finally got to serve on a ship and fly in the Coast Guard. He often said that if you want be ship/boat crew or be a Air Crew, join the C.G. as a smaller service you got a lot of opportunity to achieve your goal.if
