I must disagree to a point politics are not what they use to be. I make sure that I vote and stay informed as much as possible. But I don't let it consume my life because I don't have time with school, my family, and going back to work. Politics these days have been made such a joke by the games the bad politicians play. Of I believe in civic duty because I served and going into nursing to help the sick. But most of the time I'm just sick at how politicians twist the truth and work the system to their advantage not the constituents they serve.

Yeah...and Roosevelt had just about as much contempt for the Constitution as any President, before or since, which is why politicians on both sides of the aisle laud him as one of their heroes. One of my favorite quotes of his goes something like this: "the Constitution be damned when the people want their coal!" I think that about sums it up. He nearly nationalized the coal industry in the name of populism. I can also imagine the dying soldier's response as TR paused on his way up San Juan Hill: "Isn't this bully fun!" May you rot in hell, Mr. President, you imperialistic, elitist SOB. (Well, THAT felt good.)
