Good morning Col Burroughs. I hope you and Bella are having a good time out in Steamboat Springs.
We all have the ability to be powerful in the accomplishment of our vision if we use our strength to do so. It was my dream to be an officer but none of my family believed I could do it. I went for it anyway. The same was true of my sister's dream to be a doctor. But she made it using nursing as a stepping stone to get there. If you refuse to allow others' inability to see your vision to stop you, you can achieve almost anything.

I expect that you are aware that all power in existence has been created and is sustained by God. As far as powerful individuals and nations, HE lifts, and HE demotes for HIS perfect reasons. All authority on earth is ordained by God for blessing or judgement. ‘For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God … for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.' [2 Timothy 1:6-7 ESV] Robert.
I pray you that I demonstrate respect for those elected officials from local through national level not necessarily for their own merits but because God has appointed each of them for HIS purposes. I pray that you and I increasingly demonstrate active faith in the LORD and love for those who love us as well as our neighbors. ‘Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore, whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.’ [Romans 13: 1-2 ESV], my brother-in-Christ SSG Robert Mark Odom.
I lift spouses, parents, grandparents, managers, and leaders to YOU dear LORD. I pray that each one of us demonstrates respect for each person within our purview and those we interact with. I pray that we seek the LORD’s guidance on how to use the power that he has entrusted to us: physical power, financial power, influence form our position in family, society, business, or government position.
I pray LORD that each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer understands and heeds the admonition of the LORD Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore. whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore, one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience. For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.' [ Romans 13: 1-7 ESV]
I lift the elected leaders, legislators, appointed officials, and judges throughout the USA, as well as Australia, Canada, Mexico, India, Europe, Africa, Philippines, Japan, Korea, Central and South America to YOU LORD. I pray that they each use their power and influence to benefit their constituents and that they respect each person they interact with.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children and your loved ones sleep well Monday night and will awake healthy on Tuesday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.
