His dementia is obviously affecting his ability to think clearly! Or maybe we should put him in the shoes of a police officer in a situation where he has to fire his weapon and see if he changes his tune. Did he really say that SSG Robert Ricci!

When you asked if he really said this, I can only go based on the article. I'm assuming the article to be accurate. But you and I both know he would not be the first one to say that police should aim for the legs or try to shoot the gun out of somebody's hand. As soldiers that's not what we were taught. As police officers that's not what we were taught. We're taught to shoot to disable. That means to shoot Center Mass. Often times that means the individual dies. That's not the intent but in the LAPD style it's two to the body in one of the head because it's not uncommon these days for a suspect to be wearing body armor. Even if they're not wearing body armor a 9 mm or even a .40 cal isn't going to stop somebody from coming at you when the first bullet strikes. No, as soldiers or Marines or Navy or Coast Guard - whatever title we have - we have been taught to shoot Center Mass. In the military we've been taught to kill.

Here is another article that is not from Fox News that says the same thing. Remember that when I post from Fox News it is because it's one of the few that doesn't put a pop up about cookies or subscribing. I don't want to inconvenience our readers here. This one is from Yahoo.

SFC William Farrell I try to be aware of that when I post and some people bitch because I'll post one from Fox News even though I read all of them. Can't please everybody but I'm glad I took care of your needs. Wait a minute. That sounded funny. Forget I said that part. LOL.

SSG Robert Ricci, it seems obvious to me Biden doesn’t know the first thing about using guns as a means of protection. After all, he never served in the Military or a law enforcement position

No, he didn't. Those that haven't are the worst critics. They have no frame of reference. We wear a vest with an insert Center Mass for a reason. The problem is is so to criminals these days. Criminals are often better armed and have better body armor than the police do. The LAPD method, when applicable, is a triple tap. Two to the body and one of the head. Lights out. I've never had to do it and I wouldn't take pleasure in doing it but muscle memory. I followed my training. And as you well know the Army didn't teach us to shoot the enemy in the leg. They taught us to kill them. Even a dead enemy is a threat when they didn't die immediately and pulled the pin on a grenade and laid on it so that when you rolled their body over - boom!

He is totally unfit to lead. We are taught to shoot for the center mass in boot camp and reinforced with yearly marksmanship training. Same for police. The way it should be, imho.

I'm with you 100%, Samuel! In the military we are taught to shoot Center Mass. A .223 or a NATO 5.56 round out of an M4 is going to do an awful lot of damage Center mess.
