Luckily I normally have to wait no longer than 2 weeks for an appointment with the VA.

That's what I am beginning to understand .. some VA are smoken hot .. my local "clinic" has a huge population and is staffed with excellent people .. other places are like LA Country Jail. Unbelievable! Thanks for the comments.
