This whole segment was really eye opening because I had no idea about the work that has been happening at the highest levels to address racism in the ranks.

Sounds like we're making progress. And not to downplay the impact of race, but people don't expect to see women in command billets or as General Officers. I saw that first hand with Gen Norma Brown and a number of other female officers.
