Good mid-late afternoon my Brothers and Sisters!
This will be my last in a series of Bombers and large Aircraft in the USAF Inventory and it features the amazing, long lasting B-52 Stratofortress!
There is no audio host, but there is text at the bottom of the screen that lets you know what is going on... I think you will learn just what it takes (in capsulized form) to get one of these birds off the ground and on mission..., but I'll give you a quick snapshot here...

The B-52 has a wingspan of 185 feet (56 metres) and a length of 160 feet 10.9 inches (49 metres). It is powered by eight jet engines mounted under the wings in four twin pods. The plane's maximum speed at 55,000 feet (17,000 metres) is Mach 0.9 (595 miles per hour, or 960 km/hr).

Great video. Having begun my flying career and gone to war in the B-52 I have a long lasting love for this aircraft despite the fact that I moved on to other aircraft. I chuckle a bit at the description of gigantic compared to aircraft of today, but I suppose that when it was designed that term applied. Although it is a big aircraft that concept did not carry over to the crew compartment that is extremely cramped. The aircraft was designed to carry the nuclear weapons of its time which were huge, as I recall we could only carry 2 B-41 or B-53 weapons in the huge bomb bay, and lots of fuel to give it range. It's a workhorse for sure!
