I thought after 15 years of service I'd finally be a "morning person", but it just never stuck. Of course it doesn't help that I married another "night person" who works into the evening several days a week and pretty much has to go to bed later.

I'm a morning person and I'm up at 0420 in the morning except on Sunday, then it's 0430. Wife, she's up at 0830, outside of Sunday, I wake her up a 0720, I'm just that cruel.

Here's why morning is great. Nobody else is up! A real morning person hopes everyone else stays in bed until noon. I live in Northern Michigan. From late March- early April to late November -early December, by sunrise I've finished morning chores. The dogs, the goats, and I greet the sun with a hot cup of coffee. The rest of the year its just too damn cold, so I get the wood stove cracking and enjoy the two hours of peace before the rest of the world starts to stir. If everyone became a morning person tomorrow, I'd be an instant night owl.
