We still do but it is being changed by the progressives, behind our back with stupid court decisions.

Amusing to see people that openly advocated for the use of force to overturn the results of an election, supporting insurrectionist actions on January 6th and other occasions, prattle on about their fears of Connotational abuses. It would appear their reverence for the Constitution is highly dependent and situational, and really only invoked for their own personal benefit and comfort rather than any desire to help or protect others.
Every Constitutional right has limits. You may have the right to own and carry a gun. That does not give you the right to shoot anyone. Your rights end at the end of your nose - right where a mask is worn. If you want to catch a disease, I don't care, do your worst. You may even argue for the right to carry a disease, but you do not have the right to spread disease. But everyone around you... the general public, has the right to protect themselves from disease spreaders. Governments have a responsibility to protect their citizens.
