Good morning Rally Point and Posse. Sometimes it is imperative to "be there" in person and sometimes being there on the end of a phone line, a video call, a letter in hand is sufficient. RP admin asked a question about what was hard to explain to family and friends about serving...to me, this is what is hard; why someone who served with me twenty years ago and not made much of an effort to stay connected would call me and I would give them two hours of my time because he needed it. How when I took command and accepted the responsibility, it felt as significant as my marriage vows, and the release of command didn't exempt me from the connection. I don't believe it ever will. I belong to a group of current and former AF Transporters and I eagerly look forward to our weekly e-newsletter to which many of us contribute; I know more about many of them than I do some more distant family members. And there isn't one of them I would not "be there for" if needed.

I expect you put significant effort into fulfilling your responsibilities, supporting your family, assisting friends and neighbors. I hope that you are focused on serving selflessly those who rely on you for leadership, advice, teaching and training. I expect you have helped many others and you have applied your hands, feet and mind to assist others in solving problems. Many in this current generation of leaders seem to be self-absorbed and devoid of true wisdom which is the fear of the LORD. I expect that you are spiritually mature enough to be a servant leader. I pray for focused endurance in doing good for those in need and sufficient fruit of the Spirit patience, faithfulness, and self-control for each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer dear LORD. Lead us by YOUR grace to help others we intersect with in our daily walk. Open our eyes to those who need encouragement and comfort and guide each of us to whomever YOU know we should encourage, comfort, and/or sit quietly with them and listen to them. 'So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind. [Philippians 2:1-2 ESV]
LORD, I stand in the gap for Afghanistan and remind YOU of the prayer of Jehoshaphat [2 Chronicles 20] LORD, I pray that YOU bring confusion and terror to the Taliban, ISIL-K, Haqqani, Therik-e Taliban Pakistan, al Qaeda and the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence [ISI]. Motivate them to fight among themselves and to kill as many of the operatives in the Pakistan training centers [al Qaeda, and ashkar-e-Jhangvi, Mujahidin United Council and Maulvi Nazir Group in Waziristan:] and Afghanistan. Enable the Shia people of Afghanistan to defeat the ashkar-e-Jhangvi which has carried out deadly attacks against Shia People in Afghanistan. I lift the Panjshir valley in Afghanistan, the National Resistance Force (NRF) lead by military commander, Ahmad Massoud, and the Christians, agnostics, members of minority faiths in Afghanistan, as well as citizens of other nations, Afghanis who assisted the allies [along with their family] who are in hiding or imprisoned by the Taliban thugs and their cohorts [ISIL and al-Qaeda] to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU shine light to those in hiding and guide them step by step to freedom and salvation for many of them. I pray that YOU blind the thugs including the despicable Pakistani intelligence thugs so they see darkness and have no visibility of YOUR light. Enable each to sleep, rest and nourish themselves in peace amidst their enemies. ‘The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. I have spent the past 90 minutes trying to create a Medicare account. I have many years experience in resolving system issues and am chatting with a first tier help agent. I went though similar connectivity issues with system techs at USAA and SAM's claim the past two days.]

2. I found a system flaw in the Medicare logon process. The person i chatted with is submitting it to Medicare systems. I have had a knack for finding system flaws - that is good and bad :-)
