It's no big deal, it's not really a red flag clause, it allows military courts to issue a temporary ex parte protective order in cases involving domestic violence, like all 50 states already have. The gun owner gets a hearing within 30 days, again, like most states.

Doesn’t that kind of define a “red flag law”? And aren’t those generally a “loss of due process” issue? Taking a possession without a day in court? It seems a very slippery slope

MCPO Hilary Kunz - No, that was never the definition of a "red flag law." Second, there is due process. Third, the government doesn't take possession of the firearms, it merely prohibits the individual from possessing them, and the individual can store them remotely or with a third party of their choice. All 50 states have had these for over 30 years.
