No, they are still there brother Joe. Our only hope was to develop enough generations of free thinking people to stand up to terrorists. We failed. I can't believe we can have a presence in Germany for going on to 80 years, and we can't make the same kind of investment in other areas of the world where we have interests.

I would submit that a Taliban man over 5 might be responsible. Think about that. That is the nature or of our enemy. How sad.

Should other countries step in and assist/support the women of Afghanistan? Or would it be another unwinnable 20+ year war? I think action should be taken by the UN to address the inequality that continues in countries such as this.

Who has the ability and will. We sold all our allies down the river when President Biden announced come hell or high water we were out. Everyone was caught flat footed. Our allies will not trust us again in our lifetime.
We had the interest there. ISIS and the Taliban, not to mention the other terrorists, declared way on us long ago; it cumulated with the Works Trade Center and others in 9/11. Not acknowledging the terrorists were (are) at war with us is how we got to 9/11. Thats the way I see it.
