We were the "strange" weather guessers with VW-1/VQ-1 and MACV. We did some coordination with he NSGA in Adak on Soviet barrier/elint intercept missions and closest we got to the Middle East was a recon mission to Diego Garcia in early 1971 as the SeaBees started to develop the airfield and station there.
