There is an excellent mini series on this even called "The Heavy Water War". Much better than the old Kirk Douglas "Heroes of Telemark", which was not terrible either. You should be able to find it on Amazon Prime or Netflix.

Thanks for sharing, hadn't heard the specifics of this before, I do recall an episode of Hogans Heros where they got Col Klink to bath in a barrel of heavy water to ruin it. But, that was the only time I had heard of the German need for Heavy Water in WWII.
