If we've learned nothing else from this war it's to pay no attention to Putins claims. He is the one who claimed his Navy was so inept that it set fire to their own ship afterall.

In my view, SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL, this is another of Vladimir Putin's tactics... I don't believe that the Ukrainians would let this key city fall into Russia's hands...but I guess we shall see how it all plays out... Excellent share, my friend...

Tactically speaking, why storm it? Blockade it and starve them out. It makes sense.

Thus far his troops have shown they're incapable of blocading anything.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - it may prove to be a problem resupplying the hold outs. During the battle of Stalingrad, Germans had reduced Russian forces to a stretch of beach on the Volga river. Not a bright idea to leave the enemy a strong hold behind lines.
