Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen DeSantis is just using it as a political stunt... he should have known it wouldn't work... unless he's stupid like 45.

Oh absolutely, he stopped caring about Floridians and is courting the MAGA base with eyes on 24.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - I really hope 24 is not a repeat of 16, worst v worst or 2020 worst v senile. I really would like to see candidates from both parties I could consider voting for.

I'm guessing this will end in one of those "win-win" compromises those bouncy little HR wienies and wienettes are always bubbling about as the General Counsel pull their strings. (Note: all compromises are reached by two or more losers)

Frankly I see this as just a political stunt for DeSantis, with an eye on 24, to appeal to the MAGA crowd. They have until June 23 to work things out and I don't think it will come down as planned.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen If so, it's working. But agree with you that come June '23 not likely that either entity walks away with all the marbles.

The Florida law dissolving Disney's tax district doesn't take effect until Jun and the district won't be dissolved until next year.
That is plenty of time for the legislature to pass the appropriate laws to ensure Disney will remain responsible for its bills.
As for it working, it appears to have so far. A recent court challenge has already been thrown out.
