In Texas the electric company just asked us to keep our AC set to 87 because of grid issues with the heat that just arrived. Power grid cannot support a country of electrical vehicles.

One of the major drawbacks to EVs, short drives are fine but to go somewhere on vacation you have to plan carefully, Ford is the first company I have heard of trying to set up a solution. It actually makes a lot of sense to have charging stations at dealerships, there is at least one in many medium size cities and multiple dealerships in large cities.

The other issue of course is...will the grid support it and right now the indication is that we are not ready for that.
