Thanks for an authoritative evaluation on weapon violence and crime. It's finally good to see some hard numbers support what is being explained other than the lies coming out of President Obama's (I mean Biden's) mouth.
People can have their own opinions, but not their own facts.

The problem about discussing gun control is the advocates like to move the goal posts, overstate polls, and avoid discussing injuries and deaths caused by other objects when firearms are not available.
1) The gun control advocates constant message is "reasonable gun control measures", and then they add language to any measure that includes banning most firearms other than a mid-size revolver, registering ammunition, etc. This week, Joe Biden proposed banning all 9mms.
2) When gun control advocates cite polls, they seldom include a breakdown of who they asked including political party, where they were located, and the questions asked. You will get different answers from questions such as "should people own military firearms" and "should people be allowed to own 9mm handguns and rifles"?
3) Gun control advocates cite gun related mass shootings and deaths in the USA vs other countries but avoid talking about mass injuries and deaths in other countries vs the USA. The absence of firearms in other countries doesn't eliminate people injuring and killing others, they just use other weapons. Crime doesn't go down either; there are many countries that have strict gun control who have higher crime rates than the USA.

To me it just screams out of control revenge and a lack of being acknowledged. If guns and mental illness are left out of the discussion, the only rational question left is how the hell are we treating are fellow humans? Every solution is a waste if it doesn't allow for discussions about what is making someone think they have to harm others to be heard. Weapon laws are pointless if people still wind up wanting to kill one another.
What people often forget is that we are now the third most populated county in the world.
The real problems come along when the rights afforded by the constitution are not universally protected and guaranteed for all citizens, and there is a growing number of Americans who do not feel the federal government is doing an adequate job of protecting those rights.
EDIT: I wanted to hit on another point that was made by MSG Cristofaro, almost none of the gun crime studies conducted control for frequency variance in different geographic locations.
