You don't protect the serf by disarming the knight. Unfortunately, that's how the left feels.
Defund the cops and take away your ability to defend yourself.
But of course, they'll get to keep their bodyguards.
Why? You're not as important as they are.

I was speaking with my son as he was playing a video game with his nephew/grandson of mine. I heard their excited banter as they shot and killed the enemy and how jovial and yet pleased they were with their performance.

I know that my two boys who have grown up and are fathers themselves enjoy these games immensely. I thinkt that anyone could become desenstized into takening another's life on a video game by doing just that, repetitively over the course of many afternoons and just a few years.

Take a young man that is slapped in front of his friends by the school bully because he is a sissy. How long would it take to make a killer out of this sensitive young man. Back in the day we used to settle these things with your fists. You steered clear of that ass that liked beating you up as it gave him a chance for a light workout.

Your Dad isn't around to teach you how to box. He took off after your mom got custody of you kids. So with no one there to guide you and protect you. You took other routes to protect yourselve. But now you count yourself amonst the battle driven and are ready to take on not only the bully but maybe the principal or the teacher tha didn't want to do anything or the kids thats laughed at you?

Well they won't be laughing when you return with your dads gun or your Uncle Franks pistol. You know where he hides it because you and your cousins looked at it a month ago and just looked at it. This is exactly why these shootings occur. Gangs are out there looking for willing participants too. If you can't get a father figure in your home or your grandads home maybe you try to please a local gang leader?

SFC Jim Ruether Take your point. The solution is societal, not legal. It begins in the home, extends to community expectations of responsibility and accountability and the community will to enforce those expectations.

This is a factor. But it’s the whole culture. Remove God from everything…reduce standards…filth at your fingertips…network-connected instant gratification…. Moral decline is central to the problem.

There are a lot of us good guys. Older maybe, but able to keep a vigilant guard over those we love.
That and start by locking up lawbreakers and keep them locked up. And have the social media step up. They constantly watch us, why aren’t they reporting those who would harm us. That is beside removing those they don’t want to hear.
