A pardon is not as good as an Acquittal though. A pardon is like "Clean up on aisle 5", an Acquittal is more along the lines of, there's no mess on aisle 5, fuggidaboudi.

This is true, however, I believe that you must admit to a wrongdoing in order to accept the pardon.

I think the term "Wrongdoing" is incorrect - you only have to admit to the act - not to a crime or to guilt.
