I have always been thankful for any gift. If that someone took their time and/or money to purchase or make an item they wanted me to have. If the gift is given with a loving spirit then in fact it is a lovely gift.

If they had put as much thought into real gifts as into being as cheap and thoughtless as possible, people might actually like them, and their gifts.

My mom used to give me clothes several sizes too big. I’d put them on the side fence for the homeless folks who used the alley... i wound up taking tge to Salvation Army because the homeless didn’t want them either.
