As a combat engineer, I bought a few of these. Pmags, red lens headlamp, and rite in the rain. Army issued a pretty decent multitool.

I'd skip the civilian GPS. Seems to be a significant security risk, unless I'm uninformed.

Didn't have GPS back in my day. Seems like if it's cleared except for current track it's not giving away any info not already known...

That's actually my concern. There's evidence that the Russians compromised Ukrainian civilian phones and shelled their positions based on their phone GPS.

I thinking they were referring to dedicated GPS units not phone units
