Seems something could have been done earlier.

Once again someone says "the government oughta do sumthin'..." No. We the People need to do "sumthin'" Take care of our own, and take care of them before the situation gets out of hand. The government will only screw it up

Simply disgusting that the government doesn't already have rules nationwide protecting ANY VETERAN from having this happen to them!! Sure he could've filed an extension for seniors over 65 but, as I said, this should not be happening to ANY VETERAN!! Especially someone like him who has been living there for close to 80 years and has dementia. I know there are those who are going to say, "Well where was his family??" but it doesn't matter. None of us should have to be humiliated in this manner!! It's getting ridiculous how we're always getting shafted somehow even in civilian life by the same A-Holes that asked us to serve but many never have served themselves!!
