Because they know that Republicans are going to lock it down when Trump comes back. Get as many in the country as they can to increase the voter base, because you know that they will vote in local elections in Blue States. The left is already trying to get voting rights for illegals in the states that they are living in, whether red or blue, "because local politics affects everyone in that locale."
Federal elections voting won't happen in our lifetimes, so we have to be focused on voting on local elections forever to counter the influx of migrant voters.
