He could stop printing and coining all currency for all I care. I rarely use it and when I do, I'm at a loss as to what to do with the change. It ends up in a small drawer in my rolltop desk. Anybody know how much 2-1/2 pounds is worth?

Whatever the face value is, like a quarter is worth 25 cents. Unless your coins are made of precious metals. If you have any error coins or extremely rare ones, go ahead and spend them.
