"Are Handgun Permits Constitutional? Legal Challenge Heads To Supreme Court!"

As a sole means of authorization in a "Shall not be infringed" country, no they are not Constitutional. I live in a "Constitutional Carry" State. I have chosen to maintain my permit so LEO can see it if I get stopped to establish training and competence, because to look at me most of the time, you're going to think,"Yeah, He's carrying". I also maintain the permit for the sake of reciprocity. Constitutional Carry is only good within each State's borders, whereas there are a lot of States that recognize the permits issued by other States. It makes interstate travel easier.

We actually should NOT need those but I agree with your reasons for having one.

I agree Lt Col Charlie Brown, but I maintain mine for many legal reasons, even though GA is now Constitutional Carry. I can legally have a concealed firearm in my vehicle when picking up grands at school; to my knowledge that does not apply to someone without a GA Weapons Carry License.

SGT James Murphy Georgia is now Constitutional Carry. I personally don’t have an issue with purchasing my Weapons Carry License since it gives me a few more privileges that Constitutional carry doesn’t.
