A great basic explanation for the uninitiated. (Though the arrows connecting step 3 to step 4 threw me off for a second. Just saying. Know you didn't create it.). Good repost.

Yea - threw me off for a second or two as well. I have interest in block-chain, just not enough time to really delve into it, setup the server software required, etc. I also think that block chain may grow into a way of secure signing almost everything given time and resources. Right now, it is simple (for what it is) and the future may see DNA-esque encoded block-chains for each person doing almost everything on the net.
