MAJ Bryan Zeski Deficit spending seems to be what happens no matter the administration... Yet the Economy is booming, but our spending rate is high as well... It would be great if our Congress and the Executive branch could work in synergy instead of bickering over every little thing as well as the big things...like the Southern Border Crisis!, where the Laws Congress passed are not being followed!

Sgt (Join to see) It's funny when they blame the president especially when they take an oath to a document that they've never read or completely forgotten. Article I states that Congress is in charge of the purse strings. If anyone is to blame, it's congress.

Cpl (Join to see) - I agree with you on this. Congress IS in charge of the purse strings, and should act like it. The Presidents (now and in the past) have strong-armed Congress to get money for pet projects and have stolen a lot of that purse-string power. It's well past time for Congress to take it back.
However, if Congress is ultimately responsible for the budget, are they not also responsible for the economy? A President can't both take credit for a booming economy AND pass the blame for deficit spending to Congress. You own one, you own both.

MAJ Bryan Zeski Trumps negotiating skills and deregulation has nothing to do congress. Congresses lack of a budget is our fault, because we keep reelecting career politicians.
And most of the deregulation is managed by the executive branch because congress abdicated that power by creating the executive bureaucracies.
Trumps tariffs and the concessions made by foreign entities as well as deregulation allows for job creation which is keeping the economy strong.

The Cost of Illegal Immigration to US Taxpayers | FAIR
At the federal, state, and local levels, taxpayers shell out approximately $134.9 billion to cover the costs incurred by the presence of more than 12.5 million illegal aliens and about 4.2 million citizen children of illegal aliens. That amounts to a tax burden of approximately $8,075 per illegal alien family member and a total of almost $116 Billion.

LTC (Join to see) I could save TWICE that by cutting the military budget in half - and still be the #1 military spender in the world.

I can find military defense in the Constitution but I’m having difficulty finding where it states citizens can be taxed to pay for their own annexation and eventual indentured servant status. MAJ Bryan Zeski

LTC (Join to see) I can find the provision for Congress to raise and support an Army for two years. A standing Army was never the plan either. Hence, the 2A and the militia.

Hold on. Who is in this militia that you speak of and this 2A that you mention? MAJ Bryan Zeski
