Love it, but then I grew up watching Victory at Sea every Sunday night. The show was mandatory viewing for my ex Navy father. Of course in those days that meant mandatory for everyone!

I've only got an RM and an SK (later turned Army CW4) from anywhere near those waters. The RM was way up in the Aleutians. The SK lied about his age and enlisted a week or so before his 16th birthday. He got to witness the 4th and 5th atomic bomb blasts later, though. I still have the commemorative tray on my mantle along with a very dapper picture of him with my grandmother in the late 40s.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - It's the Air Force guy who knows those, too! I have a BZ coin from NCTSCU OKC, as well. I had a blast with those TACAMO guys doing a project with them as a young LT.

My SK grandfather was SK through and through. He followed on as supply in the Arkansas ARNG and an Air Force civilian supply clerk at LRAFB.
