I saw the remnants of an Iraqi convoy that had the unfortunate circumstance to run into a flight of A-10s. Let's just say that the score was A-10s 100 / Iraqis 0.

Maj Marty Hogan This is why the F-35 is not even good enough to be a piss pour replacement for this aircraft.

The Air Force wants to get rid of this plane, fortunately COL (R) Martha McSally now serving in congress is fighting hard to keep this bird flying.

LTC (Join to see) he has done a great job- several entities have stepped up. We always have to have the shiniest toys- despite their faults to say we have the best.

Another hope for the A-10 is Maj Gen Paul Johnson, a hog driver currently in charge of Operational Capability Requirements, Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Plans and Requirements, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. His A-10 took a serious hit during Desert Storm and he was able to nurse it back to the field.
