Capt Daniel Goodman Sir, This is one of my favorite books. It has been used as inspiration by several people in the SciFi industry. One of the most notable was J. Michael Straczynski of Babylon 5 fame. His use of its themes in Babylon 5's Season 5 episode "Deconstruction of Falling Stars" makes it one of my favorites.

Get nowhere man on the DVD setz, when it came out it boggled everyone who saw the first episode, it was that terrifyingly realistic. I!don't like everything Stephen king does, however I love the stand, the novel and the miniseries. Also, the langoliers, and carrier the original, not the remakes. Of late, I'm partial to the walking dead and fear of the walking dead, as well, lol. The mil history thing read about William Cunningham, the provost Marshal of the Brits in the revolution, the series Turn I felt was never done right, about the culper spy ring back then, read about the Brit prison shipsmin wallabot bay off where the Brooklyn Navy used was now, especially the jmsmkersey, and the sugar house prison in Manhattan ,and the piece on the surviving supposedly haunted window stlll near police plaza in NYC, lol, great site, be eager for your thoughts many thanks.

Capt Daniel Goodman - I watched Turn and was very unimpressed. As you said, it was more Hollywood than reality. Right now, documentary wise, I am in the middle of the BBC's opus on World War One called "The Great War" and "A World in Arms: Britain's War Against Napoleon" from Channel 4. Both use accounts from people who experienced it. If you can get them, they are both worth a watch.

William Cunningham was the actual hangman of Nathan Hale, which led to the hanging of Maj john Andre, the British adjutant, who conspiredmwith Benedict Arnold, trust me, THAT whole story you WILL love I can almost guarantee it, honest lol.

Sorry for the typos, the tablet I'm using tend to be quite temperamental at times, I'm afraid...
