Huh. Who knew NYT had a rational article in them?

External appearance is...appearance. I agree where the article says, "diversity of thought is the most important kind." If we believe that humans are human, no matter their skin color, country of origin or bedroom habits, then what REALLY matters? Ideas, morals, ethical values, & etc. The internal is the important thing, and also why many great leaders seek advisors with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

"WE progressives believe in diversity, and we want women, blacks, Latinos, gays and Muslims at the table — er, so long as they aren’t conservatives."
