I was stationed at Tyndall my last year. It was a nice base. That breaks my heart. I couldn't find one intact roof in all of the aerial footage, and my squadron building looked destroyed.

Article in today's paper said every building on base sustained roof damage. Don't see how they're going to get people back into quarters anytime soon.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - You're right, Colonel. TAFB is going to be shut down for a while.

I know how that goes. Spent many years in the panhandle with many hurricanes. The base will probably be closed for awhile. They will open it to essential personnel to clean up the base for the populous to return safely. Thanks for the share Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen.

Article in paper today said every building on base received roof damage so will be interesting to see what is done with base housing residents. We still have quite a few staying in quarters at MacDill.
